The History of Excellence Wood Designs

Mark Schulenberg, CEO and Designer of Excellence Wood Designs, builds each piece of furniture including the "exclusive" Calap-Z-Table® with dedication and precision craftsmanship which allows a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

Attention to detail, use of only the finest domestic
and exotic hardwoods, contrasting colors and matching grain patterns enhances the impart of each table and creates that one-of-a-kind work of art.

No woods are stained. This allows Mother Nature to give us the true representation of color, natural integrity and authenticity that cannot be duplicated. All exotic hardwoods are from tree plantations or sustained cuts - thus, not depleting our rain forests.

One-of-a-Kind Tables

Occasionally through my search of woods, I come across a piece that is unique in its color or grain pattern. I will use these rare pieces of wood to create and feature a one-of-a-kind table.

Table Care

All ©Calap-Z-Tables® are sealed with three coats of sanding sealer and seven coats of air activated catalyst lacquer for lasting durability. This process retains the naturalness of the wood without creating unnatural hews. The luster of the finish is not too glossy and yet not too dull. It simply enhances the natural beauty of the wood.

We recommend the use of furniture polish and cleaner to care for the table. When the table is collapsed and in storage, we recommend using the Naugahyde embroidered cover for protection, which is included with your table purchase.
